See your new homepagebefore you pay a penny for it.

Local Web Studio is a one-person web design studio in Prescot, Merseyside, run by Danny Andrews. Fixed prices from £750, a free homepage concept before you pay, and you own the site and domain. Most sites are live within a week.

After a short conversation, and only if it is a good fit. No obligation to go ahead, and you keep it either way.

What is Local Web Studio, and how is it different from an agency?

Local Web Studio is a solo studio: one designer who builds every site himself, at a fixed price, for local businesses that need to be found on Google and get enquiries. No templates, no account managers and no monthly fee to keep the site online.

Most local businesses get sold one of two things. A cheap template that looks like everyone else's and just sits there, or an agency package with a big up front cost, a monthly fee, and an account manager who's never met you. Either way you're paying for something built to a formula, not around your business.

One Prescot builder came to me after paying an agency more than I later quoted, plus a monthly fee, for a generic template that brought him no work. I built him a site of his own instead, and it's now the main way new customers find him. Read the full story

It is a good fit if you need a website that helps people trust you, understand what you do quickly, and get in touch without any friction.

  • Trades and home services
  • Consultants and specialists
  • Businesses relying on Facebook
  • Outdated websites that need rebuilding
  • New businesses launching properly
  • Local services that need more enquiries

It is usually not the right fit for large ecommerce builds, complex apps, or businesses that need a full agency team.

How does the process work?

Three steps: a short conversation, a free homepage concept if it is a good fit, then a build you review before launch. Most Essentials and Signature sites are live within a week of the content being agreed.

  1. Structure

    Demo and plan

A short conversation about your business and what you need. If it is a good fit, I put together a demo so you can see the direction before committing to anything.

  2. Content and design

    Design & Review

I build the site around your services and content, sharing progress as I go. You review everything before launch, and I refine it with your feedback.

  3. Live

    Launch and handover

I set up hosting, connect your domain and take the site live. You get a full walkthrough of how everything works. Optional care plans are available if you want ongoing support.

Why is a Facebook page or an old website not bringing in enquiries?

A Facebook page does not appear properly in Google, buries your services and prices in a feed, and makes some customers doubt the business is established. An outdated website has the same problem with one more: it looks like nobody is home.

People search before they call

BrightLocal’s Local Consumer Review Survey finds that the large majority of consumers research local businesses online before making contact. If you don’t appear in search results, they find someone who does.

Important information gets buried

Your services, location and contact details should be easy to find in one place. On social media, they get lost in a feed.

No website can raise doubts

Fair or not, many customers expect a proper business to have a proper website. A clean, professional site settles that question immediately.

Your competitors already have one

In Google’s local results, the businesses that appear first almost always have a website as well as a Google Business Profile. Google’s own guidance on improving local ranking lists a complete, accurate profile and a linked website among the factors it uses.

Which local businesses has Local Web Studio built websites for?

Live client sites include Marlborough Builders (Merseyside), SEND Guidance (Merseyside), Pure Eden Wellbeing (St Helens) and Serenity Therapies (Rainhill), plus the marketing sites for two software products. Each started with a conversation about what the business actually needed.

Marlborough Builders

Marlborough Builders had a generic template site that wasn't bringing work in, and relied mainly on word of mouth. I built a professional site that explains their services clearly and makes it easy for customers to request a quote. Since launching, the business has been found through Google and has received enquiries directly through the site.

  • First enquiry within a week of launch in June 2026
  • Three to four enquiries a week through the site, as reported by the owner (September 2026)
  • Now the main way new customers get in touch
  • Callers regularly say they found the business on Google

“Really pleased with the website Danny put together for us. It looks far more professional than what we had before, shows our work properly and gives customers a much clearer idea of the services we offer.”

SEND Guidance

SEND Guidance was launching a new consultancy and needed a website that felt professional and trustworthy. I built a site that clearly explains their services for both parents and schools, giving the business a credible foundation to grow from.

  • A professional online presence ready from launch day
  • Services clearly explained for two different audiences
  • Structured to grow as the business adds new services and content

“Danny created a website that feels clear, professional and trustworthy, which was exactly what I wanted. He understood the tone I was aiming for and turned it into something that presents the service properly and gives people confidence from the first visit.”

Pure Eden Wellbeing

Pure Eden Wellbeing is a holistic therapy studio in St Helens offering massage, Reiki, lymphatic drainage and other treatments. They needed a website that felt as calm and considered as the studio itself, and gave people a clear sense of the treatments on offer. I built an editorial site that reflects the atmosphere of the space and makes it easy for visitors to get in touch, backed up with a fully set up Google Business Profile.

Lynne has since rebranded and moved to a new location, and came back to me to build the site for it.

  • A calm, editorial site that reflects the feel of the studio
  • Treatments clearly presented for new and returning clients
  • Google Business Profile set up and live from launch

“Danny created not only a website that's got so much attention to detail but made us our own booking system so our clients can book easily on our website. Nothing is too much, very professional, and can't thank him enough for helping our business grow.”

Serenity Therapies

Serenity Therapies is Lynne's new studio in Rainhill, the relaunch of Pure Eden Wellbeing under a new name in a new location. She came back to me for the second site, and the brief was the same feeling as the treatment room: nothing rushed, nothing loud. The site opens on a single calm hero and keeps prices, an introduction to Lynne and booking one click from the top of the page.

  • The second website I've built for Lynne, after Pure Eden Wellbeing
  • Designed to feel as unhurried as the studio itself
  • Prices, Lynne's story and booking each one click away

Custom platforms

Beyond local business websites, I design and build the marketing sites for software products. These are the launch sites for two of my own platforms, built on the same stack as every LWS project.

SaaS marketing site · accreditpass.com

AccreditPass

The launch website for AccreditPass, a contractor compliance platform for facilities teams. The site's job is to explain a technical product quickly and turn visitors into demo requests, with an animated hero, a clear feature walkthrough, and a straightforward path to booking a demo.

  • Animated hero that shows the product in seconds
  • Features, security and pricing explained without jargon
  • Built to turn interest into demo requests

AquaAssure

The launch website for AquaAssure, pool compliance software for UK commercial operators. A product this specialised needs a site that makes it feel simple, so the design leads with a live dashboard animation and walks operators from problem to pricing in one scroll.

  • Live dashboard animation as the centrepiece
  • Compliance credentials presented clearly for a cautious audience
  • Tiered pricing laid out for easy comparison
Launching a product? The same approach works for anything technical that needs explaining simply.

Who builds the website?

Danny Andrews, founder of Local Web Studio in Prescot, designs and builds every site himself. No sales calls, no account managers, and no disappearing once the site is live.

Danny, founder of Local Web Studio

Danny builds every project personally

Danny Andrews is the founder of Local Web Studio in Prescot, Merseyside. The studio opened at the start of 2026, and four client sites are live today: Marlborough Builders, SEND Guidance, Pure Eden Wellbeing and Serenity Therapies, each built and launched by Danny personally.

If you get in touch, you speak directly with Danny about the business, the site, and what would actually help. That keeps the process quicker, clearer, and a lot less frustrating than being passed around.

The goal is simple: build a website that makes your business look credible, explains what you do properly, and gives people an easy next step.

It starts with a short conversation about your business. If it is a good fit, I put together a working sample of your website so you can see the direction, with no obligation to go ahead.
I am based in Prescot and work across Merseyside, including St Helens, Huyton, Knowsley, Widnes, Warrington and Liverpool. Most of the work happens remotely, so distance is rarely an issue, and I am happy to meet locally if that suits you better.
Yes, both. The domain is registered to your business and the website design, files and content are yours. If you ever want to move to another developer or host, everything moves with you and I hand it over cleanly. You are never locked in. If you are asking anyone else the same question, my guide sets out the three things to check.
Most Essentials and Signature websites are live within a week. Bespoke projects take longer depending on complexity. I agree a clear schedule before any work starts.
Yes. If you have photos, posts or basic details about your business, that’s usually enough. I’ll organise it and shape it into a proper website.
Yes. If your current site isn’t working for you, I can rebuild it or refresh it depending on what makes sense. I’ll be honest about which approach is right.
You get a full walkthrough of how your site works. Hosting is included for twelve months, then £96 a year, and your domain renewal is roughly £10 to £15 a year. Optional care plans start at £65 a month if you want updates, reporting and support handled for you.
Danny replies within four working hours on weekdays, asks anything important that is missing, and puts together the right next step. That is usually a homepage direction, a fixed quote, or both. There is no pressure and no obligation to go ahead.
